I Removed Failure From My Vocabulary, The Day I Removed Diet From My Thinking

I take it you are katie 1 editedsearching for the most reliable method for fat loss?  I was too.

I tried it all: pills to speed metabolism, extra hours in the gym, calorie counting, point counting, low-fat, no fat, no carb, no meat, only meat, infomercial gadgets and any NY best seller that promised weight loss.

I could have saved a lot of money – I only needed to shift my thinking!  Diets, do NOT work – they are temporary and are a one size fits all approach.  Go to your local grocery store or gym…do you see one size walking around?  Neither do I.  So how do we expect a diet to work the same way for every body type, every hormone combination, every age, and every level of inflammation?  We set ourselves up for severe disappointment if we believe this to be true.

What a RELIEF to know I was not failing, I simply was going about fat loss all wrong.

After finding Genesis, I was still very confused. Where was the cardio?  Why do I eat so much? And most important – how the HECK is the scale going down with this much food?  It took me a long time to wrap my head around this being about health, so long that I quit twice.  I didn’t like my beliefs about fat loss being incorrect.

By my third approach with GT, my head was in a place to increase my health, to trust that FAT LOSS TRULY IS A BY-PRODUCT OF GOOD HEALTH.  I dropped my old beliefs and opened my mind….I removed diet from my vocabulary!

To achieve superb health, I knew I was in for the long haul.  I had all of the damage from diets, supplements and ways of thinking to repair.  My coach, Sheri, made me aware that fat storage is simply a SYMPTOM OF INFLAMMATION, just as most diseases are.   By working with my coach and the online food journal, Sheri was able to point out lifelong habits & beliefs causing my body inflammation.  It finally clicked HOW this process works, by REDUCING my inflammation, I INCREASE my health!

AH-HA!  Wouldn’t it be smart to get rid of those foods and thought patterns causing the inflammation then?  REMOVING the inflammation and working with OUR body chemistry, we can achieve an EXTREMELY healthy body.  Healthy bodies will strip away any unnecessary fat.

I no longer felt like an unsuccessful dieter but rather a successful healthy woman.  Working with my coach and dialing in my exact macronutrient  levels that work for MY body resulted in a 42 pound fat loss, career change and permanent smile…without DIETING!

Starting GT is a very brave path to embark on and one you will never regret.  Your coach will help you to establish new habits that work FOR you!  You’ll test out boundaries so you know which foods and which levels of exercise work for YOU and which ones cause inflammation.  After you know this information, you get to choose how you treat your body.

Sometimes we fall, so what?  Stand back up and make the opposite choice next time!  If you are anything like me, invest in knee pads!  I stopped counting how many spills I took, all that matters is that every time I fell, I laughed about my choice, told myself, well – won’t do that again…or at least not often, stood back up and carried on….with just a bit more knowledge of how a HEALTHY body works.

Keep going ladies and gentlemen, by putting self-care and health at the top of your priority list, choices to achieve such health will be that much easier!  Choose health – YOU are worth it! 🙂
