“Give me liberty, or give me death” Patrick Henry

Coach Michele John

I realize this quote is a bit dramatic.  But for me, it symbolizes that if I didn’t become liberated from my addiction to junk food, diet and faux health foods that the line “give me death” would be happening far sooner that it should.

While my personal “Revolutionary War” was not as dramatic as the war fought between 1775 and 1783, this journey with Genesis Transformation has impacted my life on a monumental level and changed the course of my future for the better.  When I used to think about deprivation, and I know many of us feel at times “deprived”, I could name a list of foods a mile long.   Now, when I think of deprivation, it boils down to the overall quality of MY life, pure and simple!    If I choose to eat poo, what will that deprive me of?  For me the list includes:  healthy, active, pain free knees, clearer and younger looking skin, sound sleep, clearer thinking and processing, energy, a healthy immune system, feeling leaner, handling stress in a much healthier way and the list goes on and on.

So when I take time to reflect over the last two years and  on my newly found freedom from the many things that have held me back physically, emotionally, and health wise, I am profoundly thankful I am fighting this battle against decades of thinking and patterning, and I am emerging on the other side a much healthier, fulfilled woman!   There have been times where the struggles were intense, battles lost, but in the end, it has been and continues to be, worth it.   There is nothing more precious than freedom.
