Tracey G, now

I am a 46 year old mother of two who began working with Genesis Transformation approximately 4 years ago. I am 5′ 8″ and weighed 186 pounds with a body fat of 35% when I started. I have exercised all my adult life anywhere from 1 – 2 hours/day. The year previous to working with Sheri/GT I continued to increase my exercise and change my diet (I thought) to no avail. I should also note that I was a huge sugar addict to the degree that I was known at work and home as always having a “candy drawer”. Over the year previous to working with Genesis, even with all the exercise my weight stayed the same probably even went up… I don’t know as I did not weigh myself at that point.

When I first met with Sheri, I was hopeful that I could look and feel better but I did not have any preconceived ideas as to what that really meant for me – nor did I really know how crappy I felt. What I did know was I wanted to be healthier and leaner for myself and even more importantly I wanted to be a good role model for my two girls (now 7 and 9).  There were, however, a few things that I believed were true for me: first, that there is only SO much that you can change your body; secondly, I believed that ALL women have cellulite to some degree no matter what you eat or do for exercise; and the big one – that I could never really give up sugar.

Well it has been almost 4 years for me and I cannot imagine my life any other way.  Never in my life have I felt

Tracey G, before

SO lean, fit, healthy and energetic. Since reaching my goal at the beginning of 2008, I have become a certified Genesis Transformation Coach/Personal Trainer.  Has it been easy? Not necessarily! Have I struggled and backslid occasionally? Absolutely!  Has there been times that I sabotaged myself by going back to old habits (i.e., sugar, binging etc.)?  Many times!  The good news is that the times that I backslide continue to be fewer and farther between.

A few of the things that have come out of this whole journey for me are: one, you CAN change your body as much as you want and desire; two, it IS possible to not have cellulite; three, I no longer have a candy drawer and I don’t miss it.  In fact most of the time sugary, crappy food doesn’t even register as food to me!   Given that I have always compared myself to other women, wishing I had her body or looked like that women and finally for first time in my life the body I want is the body I have!  To all who choose this amazing journey that takes you to the best health you have ever known – it is SO worth it!

Finally, we are always looking for an end point and there really isn’t one as fitness and health are ever evolving.  THIS is what i find to be the most exciting part of this whole journey…it just gets better and better and better!
