A delicious dessert to accompany you to any holiday party! These are easy and no baking required.
Ingredients:
15 Dates
1/2 cup Raw Cacao or Carob Powder
Water
2.5 cups Walnuts
1/4 cup coconut flakes (optional)
2 TBSP Pure Maple Syrup
1/4 cup Chia Seeds
Dash of Vanilla (optional)
Cinnamon
- Soak the dates in water for about 30 minutes, then pit and keep the water to the side
- Soak chia seeds in about 1/4 cup of water for about 10 minutes
- IN FOOD PROCESSOR, add dates, chocolate, chia seeds, maple syrup and vanilla. Mix until you have a paste – you might need to add some of the date water if the mixture is too thick.
- Then slowly add 2 cups of walnuts and coconut, pulse those in with food processor.
- Set aside the mixture in a separate bowl and process the remaining 1/2 cup of walnuts until crushed up into small pieces (you may need up to a cup, depending on size of bites)
- Roll the chocolate batter into little balls and coat in crushed walnuts. Store in fridge.
- Top with a sprinkle of cinnamon.
