Americans consume more food-like products than they do real, whole food. Knowing how food-like products directly correlate to the amount of inflammation in our body, which in turn is directly correlated to our overall health, both for fat loss and disease, this is a scary statement. However, we have the ability to CHOOSE whole foods and eliminate inflammation from our being. In the sequel to Food Matters, Hungry For Change documents the success of implementing the same lifestyle objectives that Genesis Coaches help their clients to gain. The need for: clean food, rest, elegant thinking, exercise, and water. In fact, this documentary was auspiciously similar to what we teach here at Genesis Transformation. The only lifestyle objective I did not hear mentioned, is the importance of drinking a lot of water each day. With that said, I am sure the health professionals interviewed in Hungry For Change, would agree with the scientific process the liver goes through when processing fat and inflammation from the body, in which water is a necessary component to complete that process. The documentary went on to explain:
• How to overcome food addictions and cravings
• The real truth behind “diet”, “sugar-free” and “fat-free” products
• Why fad diets don’t work
• What food additives to avoid and how to read labels
• How to detox and what it does for your body
Overall, I am in agreement with the teachings Hungry For Change describes. They did not speak to the role protein plays in the body in both stabilizing a person’s blood sugar levels as well as their hormones. While they did not come right out and say this, at times I inferred they were advocating for a vegetarian or vegan diet. Unfortunately, I have yet to see a documentary that speaks to the benefit of CLEAN protein and research findings associated with that. As we all know, CLEAN protein is the catalyst in re-booting the metabolism, fueling muscle, stabilizing blood-sugar levels as well as stabilizing our hormones. It is crucial in the regeneration of the cells in our body, and as more clean protein is made available to the public, I bet we will see more research.
I STRONGLY recommend Hungry For Change. It is highly educational and incredibly aligned with the lifestyle objectives you are practicing yourself, as a Genesis Transformer.
Happy Watching!
