Peggi profileSo as I move into my quest for creating balance in my life, I have come to realize that I hold all responsibility and have infinite possibilities for that quest.  I find this exhilarating.  I, little me, have the ability, by each and every choice I make, to create the balance I want in my life.  I love this thought.  This is not about my husband, kids, work, or anything but ME!  It is my choice to define my balance, create and practice my balance.   Here is a day in the life with my balance.

4:30 AM  – Alarm goes off.  Not quite ready to get up.  Snooze a few times before finally getting out of bed.

5:30 AM – Ok so more than just a few snoozes but finally up out of bed.  Hit the bathroom to weigh, and brush my teeth and then walk to my place of peace.  Light a candle and begin my meditation.  The meditation I am currently practicing is very simple.  Focus on the third eye point, breathe in – and say YES!  YES!  Feel the joy!  Say YES!  Continue for 11 minutes.

6:00 AM – start the tea and coffee.  Drink 16 oz of lemon water with aloe vera juice. Get the meals out that I packed the night before for me and my hubby and pack our lunch bags.  Today will be leftover grilled veggies (tomatoes, peppers, onions, pea pods, green beans, zucchini, squash and asparagus) with chicken and avocado.  I also pack my 2 snacks, hard boiled eggs and ground turkey sautéed with mushrooms and salsa and a side of mayo and an apple.

6:10 AM – hit the shower and get ready for the corporate job.

6:30 AM – back to the kitchen to prepare my breakfast of eggs with spinach and mushrooms and tea to go out the door.

7:00 AM – arrive at the corporate job. Eat my eggs and drink 16 oz of chai tea.

9:30 AM – Consume first snack of hard boiled eggs and be into a liter of Penta water.

10:00 AM – get up and walk around – no matter where – just walk a bit and drink more water as I have usually been in meetings most of the morning until noon.

Noon – teach a 20 minute compound weight workout that incorporates 2 sets of 2 exercises followed by a core exercise to co-workers.  We end our session with a 10-15 minute meditation before heading back to work or to lunch.

12:45 PM – eat lunch of chicken and roasted veggies with avocado.  Drink another 1/2 liter of water.

1-3:00 PM – attend meetings as a project manager.

3:00 PM – eat my last snack of the day of ground turkey cooked with salsa, onions and mushrooms with a tablespoon of homemade mayo and more avocado and 1/2 an apple.  Finish up emails and ready myself to go home.

3:30 PM – head for home – this is my Friday even though it is Wednesday.  (I work part time in the corporate world and then devote my other time to my Genesis Transformation coaching.)

4:00 PM – Gather another liter of Penta water and the other 1/2 of my apple and some chicken and head out the door to go pick up my eggs and go to Kundalini yoga

4:45 PM – pick up my 7.5 dozen eggs for the week’s use and head over to yoga down the street.

5:00 PM – here a bit early so take some time to send emails to clients, catch up on reading or just take a 10 minute rest.

5:30 PM – Kundalini yoga for an hour.  My favorite day of the week.

6:30 PM – head home drinking more water.  The drive is about 40 minutes.  Maybe run an errand or 2 on the way homefood

7:00 PM – finally home.  Begin preparation of dinner if hubby has not always started this.  Spend time talking with hubby and son and his girlfriend if they are home.  Start prepping lunches for tomorrow and get coffee and tea pots ready for am.  Dinner is wild Atlantic salmon with grilled veggies and more avocado.

8:30 PM – Sit with hubby in front of the TV to decompress, catch up on days activities, read, knit or journal.  This is when I get in my last liter of water.

10:00 PM – head to bed.  Once I crawl into bed I do a short mediation of gratitude for the day and quickly drift off to sleep.

This day is a bit busier than most because of yoga added in the evening but I balance this with a simple dinner, already prepared foods in the fridge for tomorrow’s lunches and some quiet down time for me.  I absolutely love the fact that I have the ability to create balance in my life.
