The past month has been pretty normal with out any problems or hurdles and I’m happy to say I’m down 77 pounds to date. WOW! Only 23 pounds to the goal line. At my current rate I should get there by fall. I’m looking forward to the warmer weather and being able to do my cardio outside as it gets boring on the treadmill over winter and early spring.
Still a little hard getting used to the scale moving slower as the pounds get lower. I just keep on going and over time the scale continues to move. The new norm is 3-4 pounds per month, but down is good even though it’s slower. My clothes continue to fit different and I am moving sizes as well. Just goes to show that the body is making changes even when the scale does not reflect it. I actually bought tops at the GAP for the first time ever! That was a nice reward for all the hard work of the past 13 months.

Kelly…I am soooo proud of you! I can’t wait to see the “after” pictures. Three to four pounds in a month is great. Celebrate that…remember that is 3-4 lbs of fat off of your body. I love when clients scoff at their loss of 3-5 pound in a month. I say, “well would you feel the same way if you were gaining 3-5 lbs a month?” NO, you would be so mad to have gained all of that weight. When we lose fat we tend to minimize that effort but boy are we the first to jump all over the failure, frustration or disappointment in ourselves for gaining that same number. So embrace that 3-4 pounds of lost fat…you and your body worked hard to take it from your body and get ride of it! Celebrate you success lady!
