Stacie

Hello, all!  My name is Stacie and my wonderful coach, Courtney, asked me if I would write about my journey through this process called Genesis Transformation.

To begin with, I will tell you all where I started.  I weighed in at almost 270 pounds, and had been diagnosed with Metabolic Syndrome and Fibromyalgia.  My doctor was talking about putting me on meds for my high cholesterol and high triglycerides.  Every morning I woke up tired and in pain.  I have 2 children, ages 7 and 9, that I homeschool.  My job is to raise my children and make our house a home.  I turned 39 last summer and was just tired.  Tired of being tired, of being in pain, of being unhealthy and unable to keep up with my family.  My husband works with Courtney’s husband.  One night, at the dinner table, he suggested I call Courtney and talk to her.  I have always believed that you have to eat in order to lose weight.  I didn’t know why, but I knew that if you didn’t, your metabolism would eventually shut down.  I was very nervous about talking to her.  When I was in high school, many years ago, I was an athlete.  I was a strength training weight lifter.  Also, I struggled with bulimia.  Not wanting to travel that path again, I knew I needed help so I could have the health that I always desired but seemed out of my reach.  Courtney explained the program to me.  It was amazing how much I learned in the first week just journaling my food.  That was before we even started fueling and cleaning up my diet.

I began fueling at the end of July.  I lost over 8 pounds in the month of August alone.  By the end of the fueling process, I couldn’t believe how much I could eat, and still lose fat.  It was amazing how my body stepped up to the plate and responded to the good fuel I was giving it.  I started in rotation in late October having lost over 20 pounds.

In December, I had my cholesterol checked.  I no longer have high triglycerides, and my cholesterol numbers have dropped significantly.  No longer do I have metabolic syndrome.  To date, I am down 49 pounds and my pain levels have dropped exponentially.  I am so excited to continue on this journey to excellent health!  I can ride bikes and horses with my children, climb and hike with my family, and have energy to burn.  What a feeling!
