Margie Before

My Genesis journey began April, 2010.  I am a diet junkie.  I have tried them all, from NutraSystems, Weight Watchers, Adkins Diet, South Beach Diet and even HCG.

Some how the 20 to 30 pounds I would lose always came back.  My family background is a group of fat people, I have two cousins who have had gastric bypass surgery and most of my brothers and sisters are overweight and are on cholesterol and elevated blood pressure medications.

March, 2010, I turned 65 years old.  As I was looking back over my life and my struggle with carrying around an extra 20 to 30 pounds, I decided I didn’t want to die fat.  A friend was telling me about Genesis Transformation and I decided I would give it try, as I said I am a diet

Margie After!

junkie.  I met my goal this April, losing 27 pounds and feeling great, every day.

It was not easy, Samantha guided me through the rough times, like when my body did not want to give up an ounce.  I learned to eat healthy, loving every bite.  One of  the benefits of the program was my exercise program.  I am now an active person, hiking/snowshoeing on Tuesdays or going to the athletic club to Boot Camp or a TRX class.

My cardio sessions were usually running on the treadmill, I learned to love running.  This Spring I joined a group of ladies training for a triathlon.  At age 66, I will be participating in the Seattle Danskin Triathlon in August.  I am sure I will be one of the oldest, but hey, it’s just a number.

As much as I like the person I have become I don’t think I have to be concerned about that 20 to 30 pounds coming back.  Thank you, Genesis!
