EAT THIS: Holiday “Mock”tails

It’s Party Time, Holiday parties are here and so are the never-ending displays of sugar cookies, appetizers, company luncheons and cocktails!!  Every year gets a little easier to keep it clean around the holidays, I promise you!!  One way to make it a little easier is having a special glass, filled with a tasty drink at fun holiday parties.

If there is one area where I see people fall down, it’s drinking around the holidays.  We often hear – oh you can have, JUST ONE, it’s the holidays, go back to your “diet” in January. Aaaand there goes all of your efforts down the drain.

SO, rather than get ourselves into uncomfortable situations or feel like we’re missing out on something, let’s enjoy a few Mocktails this season!

WARNING:  Bring extra!  It’s inevitable, someone will want you to make them what you’re having, so bring enough!

Here are my favorites:

Wine Spritzer:


3 Hibscus Tea Bags steeped in one cup of water for an hour

Sparkling Water

Liquid Stevia

Optional to create Sangria (float fruit on top)




1/4 Cup Lime Juice

Liquid Stevia, I like 5 drops

Ice & Lime Wedges

If it works for you, add Pink Salt to the Rim

Dirty Martini:


Mineral Water

One TBSP Lemon Juice

Toothpick with 2-3 olives

Peppermint Patty:


In your Vitamix on high for 30-45 seconds:

1.5 Cup of Water

2 TBSP Raw Cacao

3-4 TBSP Hemp Seed

5-7 Drops of Vanilla Creme Stevia or Coconut Palm Sugar

2 Drops of Peppermint Oil

(optional: use 4 TBSP unsweetened coconut creme in place of hemp seed)

Dr. Pepper:


Mineral Water & Ice

1 Tsp Black Cherry Concentrate

3-6 Drops of English Toffee Liquid Stevia

1 Lime Wedge

So refreshing – I drink this while boating all summer!
